What Burnkeys is

Burnkeys is software for your Mac (and a terminal version) that finds API keys in your projects, checks them with their providers, and helps you replace them. It runs on your computer. Your keys are not sent to us: a key is sent only to its own provider to check it, and to Vercel when you ask Burnkeys to update a Vercel project.

Your account and plans

You can use Burnkeys for free with its limits, or subscribe to Pro for $8 a month or $72 a year. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account page; Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.

Invite a friend

Each account has an invite link. A new account that signs up through it gets $8 off its first Pro payment. When that first payment goes through, the inviter gets $8 of credit on their Burnkeys subscription (or on their first payment, if they don't subscribe yet). Credit has no cash value. One reward per invited account; we may withhold rewards for self-invites or abuse.

Refunds

Pro starts as soon as you pay, so payments aren't refundable. You can cancel anytime from your account: Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for and won't renew. If you live in the EU, by subscribing you ask us to start Pro right away and agree that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once it starts. Nothing here limits refunds the law requires.

Your responsibility

Burnkeys changes files in your projects and, if you ask it to, variables on services like Vercel. It backs up files before changing them, but you are responsible for your projects, your keys and the services you connect. Use it only on projects and accounts you're allowed to manage.

No warranty

Burnkeys is provided as is. Checks depend on each provider's answer and can be wrong or unavailable. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Cyprus. This doesn't take away any rights you have as a consumer where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
